About

Design judgment, built on technical fluency.

Mohammad Esmaeilimoakhar is a Senior Product Designer in Munich, Germany, working on AI-assisted SaaS, complex workflows, and the design systems that hold them together.

I am a Senior Product Designer based in Munich, Germany. I work on software that carries real operational weight: multi-step editor workflows, data-heavy dashboards, and AI features that have to stay legible when the model is uncertain. In the products I care about, the hard part is rarely the screen. It is the model behind the screen, and the decisions that model forces you to make.

Since 2026 I have been Senior AI Product Designer at trbo GmbH in Munich, designing editor workflows for surveys, NPS, newsletters, layout controls, and reusable elements, and improving how an AI assistant handles context, conversation lifecycle, and feedback. Before that I co-founded Sakoudar and led product direction for an AI-powered influencer analytics and campaign-planning platform. From 2020 to 2025 I worked at Sqanit GmbH, first as a web designer and then as a frontend developer and UI/UX designer, which is where designing and shipping stopped being two separate jobs for me.

How I work

  • I start with the system rather than the screen: information architecture, states, and edge cases before visual polish.
  • I prototype in code. React and TypeScript are part of how I think through a problem, not a handover step at the end of it.
  • I stay involved through implementation and QA, so what ships matches what was actually decided.
  • I validate with Product, Engineering, Technical Solutions, and Customer Success instead of designing in isolation.
  • I write the interface copy, because the words are usually where the unclear thinking shows up first.

What I am usually hired for

Product design
Discovery, user flows, interaction design, prototyping, usability testing, and the iteration after release.
AI product design
LLM interfaces, contextual interactions, feedback loops, handling uncertainty in the interface, and AI-assisted workflows.
Design engineering
Interactive prototypes, React and TypeScript, component implementation, technical feasibility, and implementation QA.
Design systems
Component architecture, design tokens, accessibility, responsive behavior, and incremental migration of a legacy interface.

Background

I have been designing for the web since 2008. The first twelve years were freelance work under the name Esmaeili Design: more than 30 digital projects across UX/UI, web development, and brand identity, run from client discovery through delivery. That long stretch of visual craft and client work is why I am comfortable in the messy middle of a product, where design decisions and technical constraints have to be settled in the same conversation rather than passed back and forth.

This site is built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, self-hosted in a container in Germany, and written and shipped by me. If you want to see how I write code rather than how I talk about it, the source of the projects I can share is on GitHub.
